Description
Asbury Jober, a cigar maker, who lives at
No. 39 Eaton street, made matters lively at
his residence last night. He went home
drunk, assaulted his wife, and not satisfied
with this took her sewing machine and pitched
it out of the window, breaking it into pieces.
He then threw some corsets that his wife had
been stitching out after the machine, not for
getting to put some of these female indispen
sables into the stove and burn them up. He
was arrested and locked up.
