Gov.McDaniel has offered a reward of 2OO
for the apprehension of Hamilton Story, of
coffee county, who is charged with rape. The
crime was committed on a defenseless woman,
Mrs. Mary Minix. who is the wife of Thomas
A. Minix The fellow went to the house
while the husband was away and forced the
committed the outrage. Mr. Minix
is a poor man and was unable to offer a reward for the apprehension of the criminal.
He appealed to the Governor and the reward
promptly offered.
