Description
ASKED TO PAY BOARD HE TRIES TO SLASH
Joulardi Bruno was fined $100 and costs for assault and battery on Frank Pareddas and $50 and costs for assault and battery on Mrs. Grace Brunonozzi by Deputy Judge Finger in Municipal Court this morning.
According to the evidence Mrs. Brunonozzi asked Bruno last night to pay his board bill. Some words followed between them and the defendant made a lunge at the woman's face
with some sharp instrument, but missed her and cut Pareddas, who was sitting on a chair immediately by them, in the head, inflicting a rather severe incision.
Bruno then left the house, 520 Union street and was followed by a crowd of men and hemmed in.
He was saved from the wrath of the men by the arrival of the police patrol crew with Officer Blackston and Special Officer McAteer.
