Description
RAY HUMPHREY OF KEARNEY LOCKED UP ON ARSON CHARGE
Kearney, Nebr., Jan. 15.óRay
Humphrey, aged 21, formerly telephone foreman, was locked up here
yesterday on a warrant sworn to by
Fire Commissioner Ridgell, charging
Humphrey with arson.
The young man has been suspected
of having fired Charles Bartzís chicken house, where two fires were reported during the past month, one
doing $5,000 damage, while the fire
Monday night caused a damage of
$3,000. Other fires of incendiary
origin which have been reported in
Kearney during the past few years,
are all believed to be the work of
Humphrey. The evidence presented
against the Kearney boy is strong
and a, complete confession is looked
for soon.
