Description
BATTLE AT COUNTY SEAT LEADS TO TWO ARRESTS NEW BRUNSWICK. Jan, 19: – A pint of liquor said to be nicknamed “jump steady” raised havoc at a colored social gathering on Remsen avenue last night. After the bottle had been passed around once, knives , razors, guns, flatirons and a baseball bat were put into operation as a result one man is in St. Peter’s hospital with a fractured skull and another is suffering from the effects of being hit over the head with an iron and a slash on the face from a razor. Two arrests have been made, Olivine Mitchell and her son Norman. The authorities are looking for a third party, Ernest Kent, who made his getaway after the smoke of battle had cleared away. The woman and her snow will be held on an atrocious assault and battery charge to await the action of the grand jury.
