- FORMER SOLDIER ON TRIAL NEW BRUNSWICK, Jan, 8. – Earl Austin, formerly a private at Camp Raritan, is on trial before Judge Peter F. Daly in the county court this afternoon under an indictment charging a criminal assault on Mary Keiger who resides in the vicinity of the arsenal on September 1. Austin was arrested on the day the assault was made and has been held in jail since that time. He at first entered a plea of guilty but later changed to one of not guilty. F. M. Ritchie represents him.
