Description
A thief last Friday night entered the resi-
dence of Mr. Andrew Small,at Boyd’s, this
county, and secured a pocket book coutain-
ing $25 in money and some valuable papers. 1
Mr. Small retired about 10 o'clock, and, as 1
is his usual custom, he hung his trousers at
the head of the bed. During the night the 1
burglar entered the house by the kitchen
door, which had been left unlocked, and
and making his way through the dining
room be passed on through a small hallway
and gained admission to Mr. Small’s room.
Securing the trousers, the thief took them
into the dining room, where he removed the
pocket book and sifted the papers, leaving
the notes and checks behind, and taking
with him the money, consisting in part of 1
silver. The theft was not discovered until
early the next morning. There is no clue,
but it is thought the burglary was committed by someone familiar with the premises.
