Description
Horse Was Not Stolen.—What was
supposed to have Deeu an unusually bold
horse theft when Mr. B. H. Warner lost a
valuable animal from his stable at Kensington about a year ago now appears to have
been merely a mistake resulting from the
stupidity of a negro.
Dr. J. S. Dorsey, of Laugdon, sent a col-
ored employe to get a horse belonging to
Rev. Mr. Taylor, at Woodside, this county,
which waa to be hoarded at Dr. Dorsey’s.
Tbe negro took the wrong car, reached Ken
sington, went to Mr. Warner's and,on what
pretext is not known, secured a horse from
an employe of Mr. Warner.
When Rev. Mr. Taylor’s horse was to
have been returned Dr. Dorsey was inform
ed that the horse had never been called lor,
and investigation was begun. This resulted
in the discovery of the facts as detailed, the
return of the horse to Mr. Warner and the
clearing np of a mystery.
