Last Saturday; a little difficulty arose
between Dan Coy and Arthur Redding,
who lives near the Leo school house west
of town, over some hogs which had been
in Coy's cornfield. A "mix-up" occurred
in which Coy received a broken nose and
other injuries. A warrant was sworn out
by Coy before Justice Mason, charging
Redding, with assault and battery, to
which he pleaded guilty and was assessed
$10 and costs, which was paid.
