The damage suit of Will Simmons
vs. Frank Thompson has attracted
many visitors from Lawrence and the
surrounding country this week. The
suit is an echo from the late war, and
grows out of an alleged assault by
Thompson which disfigured plaintiffs'
face for several weeks. The facts
surrounding the case are all well
known to readers of The True Northerner.
Both parties to the suit are well
known business men of Lawrence, and
the case is hard fought. Attorney W.
J. Barnard is looking after Simmon's
interests and Attorneys David Ander
son and T. J. Cavanaugh appear for
Thompson.
