Description
A Bold Bobbery.
Chicago, Feb. 19. By dispatches from Bur
lington, Iowa, it Is learned that E. A. Joachim,
a State street pawnbroker in this city, was
assaulted at that place at an early hour this
morning and robbed of between $440 and $600.
He was so badly injured that he was out of his
mind when found and could give but little
account of the affair. He left Chicago last
night and when the train stopped at Burling
ton bridge he got off for a breath of fresh air.
Four men at once struck him on the head with
a club and then dragged him to the bushes
where he was found. He cannot possibly recover.
Ohio.
