- WRIT OF HABEAS CORPUS DENIED ARTHUR M’ARTHUR NEW YORK, Feb. 19 – Supreme Court Justice Giegreich today dismissed the writ of habeas corpus sued out by Alexander A. MacArthur, an artist, who is wanted by the Essex county authorities for an alleged assault on two women at Cedar Grove last fall. He instructed the district attorney’s office to prepare an order to be signed Wednesday handing MacArthur over to the New Jersey authorities.
