Race and Assault

Key Observation:
- Overwhelming Majority of Unknown Race: A significant majority of alleged offenders (87.5%) have an unknown race. This is due to missing or incomplete information in the original reports within the paper's stories.
- Minorities: A small percentage of cases involved offenders identified as "Black" (5%), "Colored" (2.5%), "Black and Native" (2.5%), and "Italian" (2.5%).
Language: The Newspaper did not disclose color of victims for my stories selected. The stories that had color identified for offenders usually were taken from other newspapers and/or State.
