PROBING COUNTERFEITING IN QUAKER CITY PRISON
Secret Service agents are busy at work on the counterfeiting plot in the Eastern Penitentiary, at Philadelphia. Arrests of two or more employees are expected at any time.
It is now believed a night watch watchman brought into the prison the materials from which the coins were made, and another employee is suspected of having aided the watchman in putting the money in circulation. A close examination of the convicts alleged to have been identified with the counterfeiting is being made by Secret Service officials and prison inspectors.
