Description
MAN AND WIFE ACCUSED OF COUNTERFEITING COINS
PITTSBURGH, Dec. 11.—With the melting pot at white heat and the molds waiting for the liquid metal, Giancianto de Carrio and his wife, were arrested today in their home in Bradock, by Secret service operatives, charged with counterfeiting. The officers allege the prisoners operated a private mint and say the woman cast spurious 50-cent pieces while her husband passed them on street cars, in bar rooms and on merchants of the Turtle Creek Valley.
