Description
CASH AND BONDS STOLEN. Apartment 5, 1315 Belmont street, occupied by Elaine Ward and Betty Boswell, was visited by an intruder and robbed. Miss Boswell told police of the taking of a $100 victory bond and two $50 liberty bonds, while a $10 bill belonging to Miss Ward was stolen. Mrs. Richard M. Winans, registered at a local hotel, has asked the police to investigate the disappearance from her room of a platinum and diamond brooch, valued at $200. Report was made to police of the first precinct that two young white men last night broke into the hardware store of J. W. Beasley, 200 10th street. A casual examination of the premises failed to disclose the taking of anything. Theft of a diamond ring and chain, valued at $50, and $20 in cash, was reported by Samuel A. Earley, 711 S street.
