First degree assault was charged Wednesday against George Thomas, following his alleged attempt Tuesday afternoon to "shoot up" W.H. Fleming and Frank Dildine in their apartments in the St. George, 14th ave. and Yesler way. Failure of three cartridges to explode is thought to have saved their lives. Police say the trouble started over a woman.
