Description
WHISKY THEFTS GROW. Robbers Attack Drug Store and Home Supplies, Too. It is probable that druggists will have to build safety vaults in their stores to protect their supplies of whisky from thirsty ones who think the end justifies the means in the matter of lubricating parched throats. Many thefts of whisky from homes have been reported to the police the past few weeks, and in several instances drug store supplies suffered at the hands of robbers. Dr. F. G. Linton, druggist at 101 Rhode Island avenue, reported the latest whisky theft. He told the police that twenty-six pint bottles of liquor were taken from his place of business Saturday night. Theft of a gold lavallier, valued at $150, was reported by Nicholas New man, 3208 O street. It was taken from his home last week, he stated. Loss of a purse containing $70 in bills, some small change and an automobile permit was reported by John M. King, 710 14th street.
