Aged Victim in Hospital With Broken Rib - Charged with beating his 65-year-old father, a second degree assault complaint was issued against Casper Koester, of Maple Valley, in Justice Otis W. Brinker's court Monday. The father is in the Renton hospital with a broken rib, and may be confined there for 10 days, according to Dr. C. I. Diem, of Renton. The alleged assault took place in the home of the Koesters, near Maple Valley, December 13. Koester, his father, brother, and three sisters, live in the house. They all are said to have told Dalton that the assault was without provocation.
