AMERICAN HELD ON COUNTERFEITING CHARGE
GALVESTON. Aug. 26.—Charles McLean, American, was arrested by Federal authorities here today charged with counterfeiting Carranza currency.
It is alleged that $61,000 was found in his possession. United States Commissioner Walter doubts the legality of McLean’s arrest.
The United States Attorney General refused to render an opinion in a similar case.
