Description
CHARGED WITH THEFT. Bride of a Few Days Placed Under Arrest. Mrs. Clara Bandy, a bride of only a few days, was arrested this afternoon by Detectives Horne and Weedon on a warrant charging her with the theft of a diamond ring. Wade Low, who lives at 1205 M street northwest, swore out the warrant. Prior to the marriage of the woman to Richard T. Bandy, it is alleged, she was on terms of friendship with Low. After her marriage Low swore out the warrant. He alleges that he permitted the young woman to examine his ring, and she kept it. Later, it is alleged, she pawned the ring for $20 and then got married. Mrs. Bandy denies that she stole the ring. The case will be heard tomorrow.
