Theft in the Evening Star, 1900 & 1920

Out-of-State Theft

Regarding the 1900s cases that were out-of-state, most took place in the surrounding states of D.C. such as covering a story of a planned heist on a freight car containing silverware and cutlery in Pennsylvania (Alleged Theft, 1900). In the 1920s however things get slightly interesting with not only covering theft out-of-state, but covering two cases overseas such as Germany were it was reported that the nations is in such disarray from the loss of World War 1 that some of their civilians resorted to graverobbing a casket that belonged to a honorable general of his silver medals and other possessions that was buried with him (German Thieves Pilfer Grave of Gen. Von Moltke, 1920).
