Description
In August last Mr. James. A. Grigg, whose store is on the northwest corner of Main and Tenth streets, had stolen from him seven pains of ladies' handsome shoes. He soon found out how the adroit thief managed to get off with the shoes, and made such changes in his store as would probably prevent similar thefts in the future. Last evening, however. Mr. Grigg scarcely put
down two pairs of ladies’ shoes, which he had Just sold to two ladies, when he had found
they had been stolen. Mr. Grigg offers a handsome reward for the arrest of the thief, and no doubt some officer or member of our excellent police force will be enabled to secure it.
