The facts were reported to the police, and Detective Tomlinson took charge of the case personally. He found that Lizzie and Emma, her companion, had been spending money freely, after the ??? Wednesday morning the women, to avoid the detective, whom they learned was on their trail, went to Newport News. They were arrested their shortly after they alighted on a description furnished by Detective Tomlinson, who went down yesterday morning and returned in the afternoon with the prisoners. It is believed that sufficient evidence has been obtained to secure a conviction.
