George Horan, colored, was arrested on
Thursday night of last week at Monkey
Hollow, a negro settlement near Linden,
this county, and was lodged in jail here,
charged with breaking into the store of
Samuel D. Waters Son, at Silver Spring,
this county, Wednesday night and stealing
a quantity of goods. Friday he was taken
to Baltimore in the custody of Postoffice
Inspector Owens to answer a charge of
larceny of stamps from the poetofflee, which
is located in the store.
