Description
Investigating Alleged Theft. The police of the Anacostia station are investigating the alleged case of horse stealing reported yesterday by N. A. Lohr of Good Hope, but as yet they have been unable to find either the animal or the thief. The horse was selected from among a number of others in the stable, it is said, and the door of the stable was found next morning secured by the hasp, showing the deliberate manner in which the thief vent about his work. It is supposed but one man did the stealing. The officers are conducting their investigation in the vicinity of the line separating the District and Maryland.
