The official announcement was made today that I have accepted the position of director of the Roy Rosenzweig Center for History and New Media, and Professor of History, at George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia – hence the change of information in the header. I am incredibly excited about the chance to join such a creative, innovative and collaborative group, to continue Roy and Dan’s vision of using digital media and technology to develop new ways to preserve and present history online, to reach broad audiences, and to encourage popular participation in efforts to understand the past.

Visa processing permitting, I’ll leave the University of Sydney and start at the Center on July 29, 2013.
