Death
According to Herman Berberick, the physician who attended to John Beck the last two months of his life and was present at his death, he saw John Beck the day before his death in an unconscious state with diffcultly in his respiration. It was at this time that he noticed a dark-brown, odorous froth beginning to form on his lips. He was said to have been experiencing an attack of Pulmonary Apoplexy during this time, which Berberick believed to have been a cause of his diseases. Herman Berberick stayed with him that night into the next morning, but John Beck remained unconsious until he died on November 25, 1901.
