Visual Signatures
Some soldiers gave their signatures more visual impact. One approach was to decorate the signature in some way
- adding a crest
- surrounding it with a circle
- putting it in a scroll
- reproducing the lettering used to inscribe names in stone
- adding an image
- using a stamp
Signatures could also be given visual impact by writing them in very large letters, sometimes taking up entire walls.
