Aside from the war, Marvin lived his life within a space of about twenty square miles.

This map marks the important spaces in Marvin Bolton's life.  Born in Dryden, Michigan and raised on his family's farm in Attica, Marvin only left Leeper County from 1861-1864, when he fought for the Union Army as a part of the 1st Michigan Cavalry.    He returned from the war to marry Addie Bolton, run his own farm and father four children.
