Blenheim House

Marvin's signature in the attic of Blenheim House.  His signature appears in three places, two of them also note his regiment--the 1st Michigan Cavalry.

While encamped outside of Washington DC, Marvin Bolton spent time near the Blenheim House in Fairfax, Virginia.  Blenheim House was a comandeered farmhouse used primarily as a hospital by Union Forces in 1862-63.  The walls of the home were covered by the signatures, poetry and artwork of more than 120 soldiers.

To see Marvin's signature in person and to learn more about Blenheim House, plan a visit to the house and Civil War Interpretive Center at Historic Blenheim in Fairfax Virginia.
