Prisoner of War

Milon's capture is noted in almost clinical form in his muster rolls. Besides the time he was housed in Blenheim while ill, Milon's time as a prisoner of war counted as his only absenses. His capture meant Milon would be absent for much of the March to the Sea.

"For four months we were prisoners of war together with others, and during that time he was more or less lame from the hurt he received at time of capture."

This description hints that there were no casualties resulting from the conflict that imprisoned Roudenbush and Robinson.

Milon was released on February 28th, 1865 in North Carolina.

Milon then returned to New York. For him, the war was over.
