Life of the Widow
It is unclear whether Mathilda also spent the previous four years in Marion Indiana with Adam or not, but either way, after his death she spent the rest of her life closer to the place where they met, in Wilmington Delaware.
Like her husband, Mathilda lived a quiet life, leaving very little to for modern historians to trace her through history with. Her parentage is unclear and it is also unknown if she had any siblings or what she did for a living (if anything) during her and Adam's marriage.
Mathilda did not remarry, and since the pair did not have any children she lived alone. Due to Wilmington's proximity to Philadelphia, Mathilda was probably relatively close to any relations she had left for the rest of her life.
