Medical Records

Because Adam was calling in his invalid pension he had to prove that he was no longer able to work. To do this he had formal medical examinations take place under the care of A.D. Kimball where Dr. Kimball confirmed that Adam suffered from rheumatism as well as an irritable bladder. The rheumatism began developing while Adam was still in the 29th Infantry and had gotten so bad that in his later years, Adam was no longer able to continue working as a coach maker.

The second set of papers are the Surgeon's Certificate that certify that Adam did in fact have those ailments that he claimed.
