Typical Solider or Not

As you can see from the above charts, Adam was lucky enough to be a part of a regiment that had few casualties. In addition to this he was also typical in that he came from New York, the state that contributed the most soldiers to the Union's cause. 

Adam was unsuprisingly typical in other ways, being of fairly average height at five foot six inches with brown hair. However, Adam was rather atypical in that he was 27 years old at the time that he enlisted, quite a bit older than the average soldier from his state, with most of them being around 18 years old.
