Early Life

Adam Meyer was born in Permasens Bavaria in Germany sometime in 1834. Sometime between then and 1861 when he enlists in the military he and his family made their way across the Atlantic to the United States. Unfortunately, Adam's early life is quite mysterious and there was almost nothing on his years as an child, adolescent, or young adult. 

As for Adam's natal family, there is precious little information. His siblings essentially fall off the map after that initial census and his parents are only on it as well (at least so far as I can tell, as I cannot read German documents to see if they are on there).
